Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has urged the club to secure at least three new players during the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to bolster the squad after a challenging season.

Despite a promising start, Spurs ended the campaign in disappointment, finishing fifth in the Premier League.

Tottenham began the season with an unbeaten run of 10 games, including eight wins and two draws, sparking discussions of a potential Premier League title challenge.

Postecoglou’s impressive start earned him three consecutive Manager of the Month awards. However, a severe injury crisis derailed the campaign, affecting at least 21 players across the season, including key figures like James Maddison and Micky van de Ven.

The injury woes led to a decline in performance, and Spurs ultimately missed out on a Champions League spot, finishing fifth, missing out on the final Champions League spot to Aston Villa..

However, Ange has made it very clear that he wants the club challenging for the Premier League title and nothing less.

Recently, he was very vocal about the club needing changes, with reports claiming that a number of players could be on their way out this summer.

Earlier today, club insider Paul O’Keefe identified 12 players on the potential exit list, including Giovani Lo Celso, Manor Solomon, Bryan Gil, Ben Davies, Oliver Skipp, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

He also reiterated the claim that for the right price, the club will also be willing to sell the likes of Richarlison, and Yves Bissouma.

Ange Postecoglou lays down his wishes

And according to the latest from ESPN, Postecoglou has requested at least three new signings to strengthen the squad.

The report claims that the former Celtic manager is realistic about the extent of changes achievable in a single transfer window but remains optimistic given Tottenham’s financial flexibility within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

It is reported that Postecoglou is particularly targeting a new striker and a central midfielder to enhance the team’s capabilities. And while specific targets remain unclear, Ivan Toney and Conor Gallagher are among the notable names mentioned.

The sale of the aforementioned players is expected to help the club fund a majority of the summer moves

As Tottenham look to rebuild and contend for the Premier League title, the upcoming transfer window will be crucial.

Postecoglou’s clear vision and strategic requests signal an ambitious push to transform Spurs into a formidable force next season.

With the right signings, the North London club aims to return to the top tier of European football and fulfill their manager’s aspirations.
